Before you start researching, I would like to quickly review what propaganda is. Propaganda is information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, or nation. The word propaganda comes from the Latin verb propagare which means "to reproduce by cuttings; spread for sprouting; propagate; enlarge". It originally was used within the Catholic Church as missionary work. In the mid 1800's the religious sense of propaganda was replaced with a political sense. The world wars of the 20th century, especially World War II created an abundance of propaganda, completely changing the definition of the world.
